I rose early to photograph jackal pups on the morning of the 21st of August 2013. They emerge to frolic in the warmth of the early morning sun near their den. While one might spot one or two of them at play during the day, they are more inclined to gather as a group in those precious early hours.
I am happy to announce that I will release the Black Cotton collection to buyers this November.
Because these images are unique, I have decided to release them as limited edition prints so that they, like the beautiful subjects, will eventually become critically scarce.

What does it mean to live well?
Our modern “work as purpose” culture reflects a view of how the world works that is relatively new. At its heart is the assumption that there is only value in contributing to – and moving forward – man made institutions.
When life is good, it tastes exquisite. Problem is we tend to fixate on the many negatives – the things that go wrong – that accompanies the act of living.
Nature is unpredictable, more so as seasons change. The morning I photographed Striding Edge from Swirral Edge the weather changed quickly from mild to 40 mph gusts of wind driving the rain horizontally across the valley.
