I took a break from travelling around Europe this winter to focus on developing the business side of johandupreez.com.
It has long been a dream of mine to offer print collections to buyers, interior designers and collectors. After many conversations – and much thought & coffee – I decided to position johandupreez.com as a showcase of my best portfolio work where buyers can order prints for their collections – or fill a new wall – and decorators can commission bespoke wall art tailored to their clients’ spaces.
This has meant that I had to redesign the website and streamline my backend to accommodate the demands of selling fine art prints.
The role of this newsletter will not change much. I will continue to share Thoughts and Ideas on Creativity, Quotes from my reading pile and Spotlight the art I create.
Additionally, I will offer readers early updates on new releases and exclusive discounts.
Given the itinerant nature of my practice – and the long lead times required to *craft fine images* – I envisaged releasing new work once or twice a year.
So, please click over to the website and let me know what you think.
"... I have an unreasonable fear of strangers. All this changes with the camera in my hand. It gives me both an invisibility cloak and an excuse for intruding into other lives. “I’m a photographer” is an open sesame to places and people I would otherwise avoid."
