I am pleased to announce the opening of the online store on 1 November!
At this time, the Black Cotton collection will be released to collectors and private buyers. Black Cotton — named after the soil of the Masai Mara — is a selection of wildlife portraits created during my travels to Africa from 2013 to 2014.
This collection is particularly significant as it was made before many of the Big Five became critically endangered, and before the Mara became overcrowded with tourists. The images were captured at a time when it was still possible to see multiple leopards in a day — provided your guide knew the land and understood animal behaviour — without a queue forming on the horizon.
As these images are unique, I have decided to release them as limited edition prints so that they, like the beautiful subjects, will eventually become scarce.
As a subscriber to my newsletter, I am pleased to offer you a coupon code, entitling you to a 10% discount on purchases made before 30 November 2024.
As a travelling artist, it may take me a few days to respond to enquiries and complete print orders. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that orders placed after 29 November will be delivered in time for the 2024 gift-giving season.
I have written an FAQ at johandupreez.com, where you will find details on print sizes, paper stock, and how to care for your newly acquired artwork. A comprehensive discussion on collecting and displaying fine art prints is available exclusively to subscribers of my newsletter, The Other 2/3rds.
Although these resources are thorough, unforeseen questions and contingencies may still arise. Please feel free to reply with any queries you may have.
